Let's Go Shopping

Wow! What a C.R.A.Z.Y. couple of weeks.  Honestly, I thought this summer would be nice and relaxing, but it seems we (mostly Kate and I) have been on the go, all the time.

My hard drive crashed about a month ago - - it had the majority of my photos of cards.  I am in the process of getting the back up reloaded onto our new computer, hence the lack of postings of cards.  But I do have something to share with you.

Ask any of my friends and they will tell you I get a little excited about new stamps and stuff.  You know, the stuff you NEED and just have to have!!  The type of excitement where you buy the items and wait until your hubby is not home to bring into the house!! Well, a friend sent me this link to a You Tube Video.  OMG!  I laughed so hard!  And when she pulled out her stickles......almost peed my pants!  So I thought I would share it with you.

This woman is my sister in spirit!  I LOVE her and can relate so much to her.  So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy this video.  I am going to get another cup of coffee and watch the rest of her videos.  Might even start stalking her......

Now, go out and buy some bling and SPARKLE ON!  Hugs - Tina

Military Proud!

I cannot believe tomorrow will be the 4th of July! (What happened to June?) A time to celebrate our nation's freedom.  Freedom that our military personnel have fought and are still fighting for.

I am proud to say that I come from a military family.  My biological father, Jim Kidd, was in the Army.  Yes, I am an Army brat born in Germany.  I have 3 uncles that have served in the Air Force, two which retired from after many years.  And I currently have a cousin and his wife serving in the Air Force.

Another little known fact about me.....There was even a time I considered going into the Air Force so that I could go to college.  But I never followed through - I think having an uncle say he would not salute his niece scared me away!  LOL!

So on this holiday, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to my family for serving.  THANK YOU to all my friends that have family serving in the Armed Forces.  It is because of you that we have this great country, The United States of America!

Happy 4th of July and remember - - Sparkle on!!

Make New Friends.....

I was thinking back over time today.  Covered a lot of times in my life.  But one area that really brightened my day was all my crafty friends.  I started thinking of how I met each of them. Many of them I felt an immediate connection.  Like we were sisters in a past life.  Do you know what I mean?

So how did it all start?  With classes at a local scrapbook store. You see, I moved to Springboro 5 1/2 years ago.  I knew no one.  I mean NO ONE!  So I started working at the scrapbook store and then started taking classes.  It all started there - classes!  I have many women that are now close friends.

So my suggestion to you?  Find classes.....and take them.  Talk to those around you! Get inky and messy!  Create something fun!  Trust me, you will not regret it!

I like Em' Dirty

When it comes to making cards, I like to keep it really really simple.  And selecting paper that matches?  Well, I am obsessed with the 6 x 6 pads to help me with that challenge.  So a punch, some paper and twine was I needed for this card.  I told you, simple!

As I have been looking for cards to post, I have come across pictures of get togethers from the past.  I have to laugh as the pictures are of the attendees and not so much of the cards I have made.  So I guess I need to stay in my seat more and not socialize as much.  But talking to friends is half the fun, right?  :)

I want to thank those that have visited my new adventure called a blog.  And the comments meant the world to me.  I will be figuring out more features and such in the future to make it a little better.  But in the meantime, please keep the suggestions coming!

And remember, Sparkle On!

What to do when your child has a male teacher?

Kate had a male teacher this year in 5th grade.  He was a coffee FREAK!! So I made him a set of these cards to use for Thank You cards.  He was so very appreciative!

Welcome Blogging World!

Dipping my piggy toes into the world of blogging.  I have to say that I am so humbled - - many of my friends have asked why I do not blog.  They think I am worthy.  Me?  Well, not so much.  So I am giving it a whirl.  I will post things randomly.  I am not one to take this too seriously.....too much pressure!  Just want to have some fun and share some of my craftiness... and of course, sparkles!!  Glitter......you can never have too much and it makes the world oh so much happier!
